  4. Enter a new 4-digit PIN of your choice and click continue to further validate with your mPIN.

  1. Log in to your internet banking account.

How to Generate Axis credit card PIN via ATM

You can generate your credit card PIN by visiting the nearest Axis Bank ATM.

  1. Insert your credit card in the card slot and select ‘Set PIN’. If you are generating a PIN for the first time, you will have to generate an OTP to set a PIN.
  2. Enter your date of birth in DD / MM / YYYY format, credit card expiry in MM / YY format and your registered mobile number.
  3. Enter the OTP sent to you on the registered mobile number and set a new 4-digit PIN of your choice.
  4. After re-entering the new PIN, you will receive a confirmation message from Axis Bank for successful change of PIN.

How to Generate Axis credit card PIN via IVR

IVR is Interactive Voice Response which helps you in solving your query through a call. IVR gives an intermediate activation passcode which helps in generating a new PIN. This passcode is valid for 3 hours.

  1. Contact the Axis Bank customer care on 1860-419-5555 or 1860-500-5555.
  2. Choose the 2nd Option (PIN related services) > 1st Option (generate debit / credit PIN) > 1st Option (generate PIN for credit card) > Generate PIN.
  3. Enter your credit card number, date of birth in DD / MM / YYYY format, credit card expiry date in MM / YY format and your registered mobile number.
  4. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number or an activation passcode.
  5. After entering this code, you will be able to choose a new PIN of your choice.
  6. You will receive a confirmation message from Axis Bank for successful change of PIN.

Tips On How To Keep Your credit card PIN Safe

  1. Always make sure that you are alone while entering the ATM
  2. Make sure to check if the card slot is intact with no dummy card readers attached to the original one. You can authenticate the card slot by lightly shaking the slot to check if it moves and seems loosely attached. 
  3. Never share your credit card PIN with people or write it down. Make sure to not share it over emails, messages, etc.
  4. Choose a credit card PIN that is not obvious like your birthday, your parent’s birthday, etc. Keep it simple, yet something that cannot be guessed.
  5. Avoid saving your PIN details for websites where you make online transactions. Also, do not auto-save your credit card PIN on transactional websites.
  6. Use websites for transactions that start with ‘HTTPS’ as they are secure and safeguard your personal details.
  7. Change your PIN frequently as a precautionary measure and go through your account statement to check if any suspicious activity has taken place.
  8. Avoid using the same PIN for every card that you have. If one of your cards gets compromised, it could lead to all of the other cards getting compromised as well.

Can ‘Set PIN’ and ‘Reset PIN’ facility be used if I am a standalone credit card customer?

‘Set PIN’ facility is not available for standalone customers as the PIN is required for activation of mobile banking. ‘Reset PIN’ facility can be used for changing PIN after you have activated mobile banking.

Can I generate my credit card PIN if my card is blocked?

You will have to unblock your credit card to be able to change the credit card PIN.

Does my PIN remain the same for my add-on credit card as well?

No, a different PIN will be provided to you for an add-on credit card.

CVV number is a 3-digit number present on the backside of your credit card. It is required during an online transaction for verification.
