How Do I Correct An Error In Credit Card Statement?

If you notice any mistakes or errors in your credit card statement, you need to get it rectified to be able to pay off your credit card bills. Here is how you can rectify the error in your statement.

  • You can contact Citibank via internet banking, customer care or by writing to them. You can check the contact details here. A Cardmember Declaration Form (CDF) needs to be filled and submitted to Citibank within 30 days from the date of the statement. The bank might also ask for certain documents to support the disputed charge.
  • It may take 90 days or more for the transaction dispute to be resolved. The bank will inform you of the outcome by sending a notification on your registered mobile number.

You will receive your monthly credit card statement via courier or post within 7 working days. If you still haven’t received it, you should verify the address provided by you to the bank and check if it is correct by logging into internet banking account by selecting ‘Your Contact Details’. You can contact the Citibank customer care if there is a change in your address. The customer care numbers are 1860-210-2484 for Indian callers and +91-22-4955-2484 for international callers which are available Monday to Saturday (except national holidays) from 9 AM to 7 PM.

Is the e-statement sent in PDF format password protected? What is unique about this password?

Yes, the e-statement sent to in PDF format is password protected. This PDF will be in a 128-bit encrypted format which can be accessed through the unique password. This password will consist of nine alphanumerics containing the first four letters of your name and the five characters of your date of birth in DD / MMM format.

I haven’t received my monthly statement via email, what should I do?

You will receive your monthly credit card statement via email within two working days. If you still haven’t received it, add ‘net.statement@citicorp.com’ in your contacts as the mail may be in your spam or junk mail as the settings in your mail may block it or tag it as spam. You can also verify your email ID and check if it is correct by logging into your internet banking account. Click on ‘Your Contact Details’ to verify your email ID. You can also contact the Citibank customer care number for further queries regarding delivery.

Will Citibank continue to issue physical statements if I have registered for e-statements?

No, Citibank will discontinue sending the hard copies of your credit card statements if you opt for e-statements.
